Wintersport Im Steir SALZKAMMERGUT (Early Austrian Ski Poster)

FROM THE ART OF SKIING:
An Early Austrian Poster by Otto Barth shows ski jumping near Mitterndory, in the Steir region just south of Salzburg. Man has always wanted to fly, and ski jumping in the closest he can get, short of parachuting. The Jumper here adopts the correct position of leaning forwards along the skis. In the Olympics marks are given for flying with style.
