Rare original lithograph poster from the 1960 Winter Olympics held in Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, CA.
Dates of the games: Feb 18-26. Jack Galliano did not design this (second version) IMO the better version of this poster until the end of 1959. This poster was to serve a dual purpose to both show the location of Squaw Valley on the map of the USA, and to annouche the date of the Event, as that was still not solidified in the 1st Official Poster. There were 36,500 copies of this poster printed- across multiple languages: English / French, German, Italian, Spanish, etc, and many were sent to Ski Shops, Sports Shops, Ski Resorts, Travel Agencies, schools and colleges in the Bay area to promote the Games.
