Switzerland The Electric Simplon Line

This is a really cool, and desirable Swiss Train and Travel art deco poster designed by Otto Baumberger designed for The Electric Simplon Railway Company and showing the Valais village of Sion. Switzerland and Italy can be easily reached by the Simplon tunnel which was built underneath the Swiss Alps. Baumberger was a Zurich artist and did some of the coolest Swiss Posters on the market, and this is one of his signature works. Sion is a visually recognizable city with imposing medieval castles. Swiss Electric Trains were incredibly reliable and were built with great thought, and marketed with great vision, and this one along with a few other Rail Posters done by Baumberger were marketed / promoted by the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
