Sunapee New Hampshire
$1,400.00
The State of New Hampshire has always promoted their White Mountains, and amazing ski resorts. This poster was created early in Mt. Sunapee's history. According the NewEnglandSkiHistory.com, Downhill skiing activity on Sunapee dates back to 1933, when the Civilian Conservation Corps constructed the Newport Ski Trail on the eastern side of the mountain. Built under the supervision of the Newport Ski Club, the trail dropped some 1,500 vertical feet to the Newbury railroad station. The trail was partially relocated in the late 1930s by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and Newport Ski Club and was renamed the Newbury Ski Trail. This Poster rarely comes up for auction, but is a fantastic early one.
