SKI STOWE VERMONT SKI CAPITAL OF THE EAST
$1,250.00
My Turf...My Home Town..and Stowe posters are truly some of the finest covering the sport of skiing to this day.. This version of Sasha Maurer's Stowe Poster was an early rendering of the broad trail network and diverse resorts w/ in resorts offered by Mt. Mansfield. Maurer deeply appreciated Vermont- and this poster is one of several he illustrated for Stowe promoting travel to the Ski Capital of the East. In this one, Maurer rightfully visualized The Toll House, the Mountain before the Gondola was put in (1968) and of course Little Spruce Peak and Big Spruce Peak (Still apologizing to my Femur for snapping it like a pretzel on Main Street). This is a screenprint in color from the 1950's printed for tourism to Stowe. Its linen backed and ready to frame. Of note the Famous Stowe S was created by Maurer in an earlier poster-and the town has continued to adopt it as their famous S.
