MOB – Montreux-Oberland-Bernois Suise Railway GIRL ON A TRAIN

This is the Martin Peikert Gold Standard! Speaking as a collector myself-this is his signature work- (possibly tied with GSTAAD,) but Peikert has accomplished so much with this striking illustration and poster. This is testimonial to why he heads the class for Swiss Ski Posters immensely sought after by collectors. Here he is marketing the MOB Montreux – Bernese Oberland Railway that links Montreux to locations in the Bernese and Oberland cantons such as stations like Gstaad. Peikert was trained at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Geneva, and ultimately landed at the firm of Orell Füssli in Zurich. He spotlighted his wife for many of the posters featured, clearly a beatiful woman that was a magnet leading the way to luxurious locations.
