This Poster is the highest praise any poster artist can receive- but Satomi designed this insanely Rare Pre War Japanese Tourism board posters that rivaled all the european master artists of the day. This is beyond rare and only a few examples have ever come up for auction. You are transported into the Japanese countryside and swept along by the speed of the train in the image-where it's all speeding by the eye. adjacent to a cherry blossom is a flag of the "rising sun" though surely Satomi couldn't have predicted just two short years into the future, otherwise he'd never have created a tourism poster.

Satomi was born in Osaka Japan and studied at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris.
